Beaufort is located approximately 3 hours Southeast from Raleigh, NC and approximately 2 hours North of Wilmington, NC.
From Morehead City/ New Bern: Take Hwy 70 East across two bridges into Beaufort, turn right at the first traffic signal (Turner Street). Continue straight through the traffic signal at Cedar Street. Continue straight through the next intersection and turn left on Ann Street. At the second intersection turn right on Queen Street. Follow Queen Street almost to the waterfront and the Inlet Inn parking entrance will be the last drive on the left. Please note that Queen Street is one way only – Drivable only from Ann Street to Front Street in a Southerly direction.
From Down East/ Cedar Island (Coming from Ocracoke ferry) : Follow Hwy 70 West into Beaufort. You will turn left at the traffic signal at the new intersection of Hwy 70 and NC- 101 , If you reach a high rise bridge you have gone too far. Turn left at the intersection onto Hwy 101 East. Keep to the right at the next traffic signal to merge onto Live Oak Street (Hwy 70). Continue on Live Oak to the second traffic signal, next to the No Name Pizza restaurant. Continue straight through this intersection for two blocks and turn right on Ann Street. Drive for 3 blocks and turn left on Queen Street. Follow Queen Street almost to the waterfront and the Inlet Inn parking entrance will be the last drive on the left. Please note that Queen Street is one way only – Drivable only from Ann Street to Front Street in a Southerly direction.
From the Northern Outer Banks, you will need to take the 30 minute ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke Island, and then take a 2.75 hour ferry from Ocracoke Island to Cedar Point, NC. From Cedar Point, follow Highway 70 West for 45 minutes to Beaufort, NC.
The closest major airport to Beaufort is the Raleigh-Durham Airport (RDU), which is approximately 3 hours away by car.
The New Bern, NC Airport (EWN), is serviced by US Airways Express flights, and is only 45 minutes from Beaufort by car.
